Mayah Hatcher

Mayah Hatcher is a 27-year-old entrepreneur and the co-founder of Black Market Flea, a monthly microfestival established in 2021, dedicated to Black entrepreneurship, creativity, and culture in Los Angeles. Originally from Memphis, Mayah has always been deeply connected to the importance of Black culture, fostering a space where she can be of service to her community by providing a non-restrictive platform where creativity, commerce, and connection can thrive. With a background in dance, she blends an appreciation for both artistic expression and the natural world, bringing a unique perspective to every creative project. Mayah believes in building your own table and often says “all we’ve got are the people right next to us”, so that’s how she chooses to live her life. Outside of BMF, Mayah remains inspired by the worlds of music, fashion, design and all things experiential, constantly seeking a creative approach to collaboration, and uplifting communities across the diaspora.
