Ingrid Best is the Founder, CEO, and Wine Négociant of IBest Wines, launching in 2023 with a focus on South African wines. Her brand aims to bridge the gap between the US and Africa by sharing the stories of South African business owners and creatives. In addition to her passion for wine, Ingrid is an avid art collector, with a personal mission to highlight the beauty and diversity of Black and Brown art and culture while supporting the growth of the art industry. Prior to founding IBest Wines, Ingrid had a successful 20- year career in the wine & spirits industry working for the largest suppliers in the industry including Diageo, Moët Hennessy and Bacardi, breaking glass ceilings as the only marketing executive to manage the joint venture spirits partnerships between cultural icons Sean “Diddy” Combs and Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter. Ingrid’s career is most notably marked by her consistent advocation for Black and Brown women to hold positions at every level of business. 

Prior to founding IBest Wines, Ingrid’s career was filled with brand-building and culture-shifting moments including her work at Combs Enterprises (CÎROC Ultra-Premium Vodka; DeLeón Tequila) where she served as the Executive Vice President; Bacardi (D’USSE), Moët Hennessy (Hennessy; Belvedere), and Diageo. As a Black and Latina woman, she has risen to the top of a male dominated industry and is known for proudly and boldly advocating with Black and Brown women to hold positions and space at every level of business, from assistants to C-Suite executives.
